Hi, I’m Catherine. I founded Matriart, and I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m a APTA board certified specialist in pediatric physical therapy with advanced training in postpartum physical therapy for women. I’m also a DONA-trained postpartum doula, an IAIM certified educator of infant massage, and a former professor and human development researcher with a PhD in education and over 20 years of experience teaching children, adults, and families. I work with women, children, and home-based visits in and around Chapel Hill, NC, and virtual visits. or contact us families in person and online to help them, and their loved ones, reach their developmental potential.
My hope is that Matriart’s unique combination of doula support, physical therapy care, and research-informed resources can help you and your loved ones grow healthier, happier, and a bit more free.
